So, a Somali family who are refugees in our Country are renting a property for £1600.00 per week, (or look at it another way £83,000 a year!) paid for by the Government.
We also have our brave Soldiers coming back with limbs blown off, who are then being paid a dismal sum of money as compensation. I have a niece who is just about to have a baby who is 27 years old and hasn\'t a hope of hell in getting a mortgage and is a prime candidate for a Council house. She has been told that she has too many points going against her to achieve a Council house as she has family that can help her and she is not expected to see any light of Council accommodation for at least another three years.. Correct me if I am wrong, but is there not something wrong here?
The Help for Heroes is a wonderful charity and I have made my financial donation, but the only reason we have this charity is that our brave boys and girls are not being looked after properly by our powers that be, yet we are the most hospitable Country to anyone that turns up on our doorstep and wants a nice pad in the centre of London, paid for, by you and me.
Of course some people reading this may not share the same views, but I am sure the majority of you will sit on my side of the fence with my views. So what can we do? Apparently Australia is a nice warm country..
THE SALES MARKET IS MOVING..
Dear old number 11 Downing Street made a great effort (I am joking) by raising the exemption level up to £175.000, wow, they actually did something, but now they are taking it away and bringing it back down to £125.000 on the 1st January. Do these guys actually have an idea of how to make the market move? I am aware I have commented on this issue before, but still it is a tax on the South of England and made, to my knowledge, no difference at all in getting the market moving. The only reason the sales market has started to move is that investors saw a gap in the market with lower priced properties as the market had bottomed out, they entered the market and started to pick up one and two beds that then kick started the market all the way to the top. Banks are still falling over themselves NOT to lend and unless you have DNA from your last 10 sets of ancestors and you have a decent deposit, then you will find yourself still renting. But, thank you investors, you have made the market come back with a bang and you have single-handedly made the market move, not the Banks and certainly not the Government.
Everytime I log onto my internet banking each day all I see is the NatWest saying.. We are lending 3 billion pounds of money. Yes our money and all you are really doing is lending to each other, aren\'t you!
